Looks who's 11 months!

It was finally warm enough today to go outside without bundling up in all our winter gear. The past few days have been so nice! Definatley getting spring fever. I pushed Kaylie around on this little bike on our back patio. She loved it. Her feet just kept dragging...we'll have to work on her keeping them on the pedals.

I've been teaching her some sign language. This is her doing "more". I didn't catch it right when she was doing it, but you can still see what she's doing.

Jeff, Carrie & Gracie came to visit us the other day. Kaylie and Gracie had so much fun. They were so cute together. They're only 6 weeks apart. Gracie is walking all over the place like a big girl!

Kaylie decided it would be fun to sit on Gracie's lap! I think Gracie was a little shocked and didn't know what to think! They had fun playing in the toy closet.
She loves to play in her old car seat. She gets in it like this and can't really get out! This was her cry for help!!

Kaylie is so dang funny in the tub. Bath time is one time I can count on for a great laugh. The other night she was splashing so hard, I'd get laughing, she'd get laughing and splash more. I was in tears from laughing so hard, and drenched from head to toe from her splashing. Daniel came upstairs to see what in the heck was going on.

Yummy bath water I guess? She alwayss leans over and drinks the water like a puppy.

Jayden, Justice & Kaylie havin a good ole time. She loves her cousins so much. She gets so happy and excited when I take her over there while I'm at work. She doesn't even miss me. Kinda sad, but glad she has such great cousins and aunt Marci!!!

The other day I ran upstairs real fast to change the laundry. Kaylie has been playing on the stairs and will sometimes crawl up 2-3, so we got a gate. Well it doesn't really fit cause our stairs are too wide. Guess she'll just play on it instead!

There's quite a few stairs (as you can see) so I get nervos! When I was done changing the laundry, she was 4 stairs from the top! Scarry!!! How tragic if she fell....I can't even think about it!!
So she's now 11 months....pusing a year already! I don't know what I'm gonna go next month. I just can't believe how fast it's gone by. It's been so much fun so far. She's such a good girl and so much fun to watch grow up. She has 6 teeth now: 4 top and 2 bottom. She weighs 19 lbs, eats pretty much everything we do, drinks out of a real cup most the time, loves to pull my pots & pans out of the cupboard, loves to chew on her crib. There are bite marks all over it. Makes me so mad. She is constantly jabbering and having a good time. I've been thinking about how I want to make her b-day cake. If any of you have any great ideas....please leave a comment!!

Quick Up-date

Look closely....you can see Kaylie's little feet sticking out of the shower curtain. It is almost impossible to shower with her in the bathroom. She always makes her way under the shower curtain, then stands at the tub and wants in! By the time I'm done, she's so wet, I might as well throw her in too!
I finally caught a pic of her sleeping sitting up. She was just fighting taking a nap. There was too much going on that day and she just wanted to play. After she fussed and cried for awhile, she finaly gave in. I went in to tuck her in and this is what I found. Seriously, who can sleep like this?!

Crazy girl. I can't believe she can sleep like this.

Who wouldn't wanna wake up to this??

Since I weaned Kaylie, she's been so happy!! She takes naps without any problems. I lay her down in her crib and she hardly fusses. She just falls asleep. She goes to bed at night really good too. She woke up this morning and was jabbering for a few minutes before I went to get her. When I walked in her room, this is what I found. She was bouncing up and down, so excited to see me. I am so lucky to have such a sweet daughter. I am so thankful for her and for the happiness she brings to our family! I can't imagine life without her! Love you Kaylie!!

I believe in miracles

Ok, so we al know I have been stressing since Kaylie was 5 months old about how I was going to wean her from nursing. She loves to nurse. I often wonder what she would do if she couldn't nurse? She might go into some withdrawl syndrome. So the past week she's been nursing only about 3 times a day, which is awesome! I have been so pumped. One day Daniel said, "well maybe she's just gonna wean herself." I thought oh ya right, she'll be nursing til she's in kindergarten! Well.....she's weaned!!!!! I'm done nursing!! I didn't nurse her yesterday in the morning cuz we were running late and had to go to the dr with Marci, so I just fed her cereal and figured I'l nurse her there or in the car after we were done. She did fine all day and never really acted like she wanted it. So when it got to be 8pm last night, I told Daniel I was done, she hadn't nursed all day, she was telling me she's done. So it has now been 49 hours since she last nursed!! She is doing much better than I am....I have bene puking all day and I'm pretty sure my boobs are a size GG. The drying up part totally sucks. There is no way to describe how much it hurts. I even went to the doctor cuz I was afraid of getting mastitis, and he said the only treatment is to give it time. I read online that if you put cabbage leaves on your boobs, it'll help dry up. So as I type, I have cabbage leaves on my boobs, hoping for some releif! None the less, Kaylie is a big girl and no longer needs her mommy!!! It's kinda a bitter sweet situation....mostly sweet!

10 MONTHS!!!

Is my baby really 10 months old? I honestly can not believe it. Everyone says time flies so enjoy every minute of it...but wow, I just don't know where the time has gone! I absolutely LOVE being a mom. I don't know if there is any greater calling than motherhood. I am so blessed to have Kaylie in my life! I love this pic of her cute bum!! She's standing there, holding onto her toy watching cartoons.
Still watching cartoons. I tried to ger her attention long enough to snap a photo, but this is all I got!

So her knee pads are awesome! I didn't put them on her for awhile, just cause I didn't really know if she needed them. The other night I had her in the tub and was washing her legs...she had bruises on her knees!! I felt so bad. So now she wears them, pretty much all day. She is crawling around EVERYWHERE!! I think the bruises came from her crawling on the tile in the kitchen when I'm in there cleaning or cooking. She has some number and letter magnets on the fridge that she loves to play with while I'm in there. Sometimes I go to change her diaper and get surprised when I see the knee pads, cause I forget they are on. I think she looks so silly! Unlce Tay thinks they are retarded. Personally, I think they're a good idea. Marci says we're preppin her to be a volleyball player! :)

This was taken on the day that she was 10 months. I love her little tongue sticking out thing. She has been doing it the past few days and it's so funny. She'll do it for pics, when she's playing or when she's concentrating on something.

She loves to pull herself up onto everything...especially daddy's new TV! She'll just pull herself up there and watch it. She also loves to pull off the x-box paddles(yes Jackie, they are paddles!!), the dvd player and anything on the shelves. I think Daniel will flip out the day she actually touches the TV screen!

We decided to get out her "big girl" car seat and see how she likes it. She loves it! When we're in the car, she's usually sleeping or sassing. I think she just couldn't see and wanted to sit up and enjoy the scenery! So she does much better in this one. We got a DVD player for the car for Christmas, so I'm excited to use it. She'll love it.
She is hanging on for dear life!! She gets into my pantry and hangs onto the shelves. She likes to play with all the plastic sacks in there.
I can't decide if she is starting to look like me?? Since day 1 everyone has said she looks like her daddy. I think she may have my nose....don't know!
My parents came up a last weekend and stayed with us. We went to Fat Cats bowling, had some yummy navajo tacos at Marci's and just had fun hanging out. My sweet dad bought me, Marci and Cath some roses. How sweet is that??? I loved them. I love getting flowers, but agree with Daniel that they are kinda a waste of money since they die so fast. So....I always get pumped when I get flowers. Thanks dad, I love ya!!!
We've had a busy week....actually a week filled with sickness. Kaylie had a double ear infection, red/sore throat, and pink eye in both eyes! I was hesitant to take her to the Doc because sometimes I feel like because I'm a nurse, I'm a little over-cautious and freak out about everything. But I knew something was really wrong because she was up all night and would nurse, then just pull off and start screaming. It was sad. So we got her into the Doc and got her some Amoxicillin. She's doing much better now. Daniel and I have the cold/ congestion crap going on, but doing better. Kaylie got her top right tooth yesterday! I've been watching it for awhile, I knew it was coming. I'm so glad it finally broke through.
Yesterday Marci called me and that Daniel and I needed to go on a date. She said Kaylie is 10 months old and you guys haven't been on a date since she was born! And that's the truth....we've never left her. I've been away from her for 6 hours at a time....max. So Marci and Tay watched Kaylie while Daniel and I went to Olive Garden. Soooo yummy. Even though we had to wait 45 min to get a table, it was worth it. Thanks so much Marci, we really needed that! We had such a great night!!

Such a big girl!

I love this pic of Kaylie helping me with laundry.
This pic totally shows her personality! I love
her spiky hair. It doesn't comb down.
I also love this pic of my two sweethearts!!
I love Kaylie's dark brown eyes. She
is getting so big. She's no longer my baby...
more like my little girl!!
PS: She has pink eye...not fun! Poor girl :(

Bad Luck!

Ok, so this happened awhile ago, I was
just going through my pics and found it
and it got me all fired up again! So yea,
my car got towed. I was seeing one of
my patients who lives in a trailer
park. As I opened the door to leave her
house, I reached for my keys to un-lock
my car....oh wait, my car was gone. It
was seriously the worst feeling! I was in shock
and didn't really know what to do! I called
Daniel, he didn't answer, of course. When
you need to talk to someone really bad, they
never answer. I honestly thought my
car had been stolen. I just stood there on
the porch with my keys in my hand and
bawled. I decided I better call the cops or
something. I didn't know what to do so I
just freakin called 911. I told them what happened,
that I thought my car had been stolen. They said,
"Is it the white Honda Accord?" I got excited
and told her yes, that was my car. She
goes on to tell me that it had been towed. I
could not understand why in the world I would
have gotten towed. I park in that same spot
every time I see this patient! She gave me the
number of the towing company to call. I called them,
they were rude. They told me I had one
tire parked on the grass and that was
against the rules of the trailer park. I asked
them where it was posted and they said
the residents of the trailer park are responsible
for letting me know where to park. I explained
I am a home health nurse who takes care of
old people. My poor old patient doesn't know
where I can and cannot park! Good greif, she's
90 years old!! Well to make a long story
short, Daniel came and picked me up,
we went to get the car and had to wait for an hour
for the freakin guy to get there. After he got there,
I asked him if he was just driving around
waiting for me, because I see this lady three
times a week and always park in the same
spot. They did cut the cost in half from $150 to
$75, but still, I was so ticked. Then, I get into my
car and my huge mug of water is spilled all over
the floor. I don't think they should be able
to tow my car away, when there aren't even
any signs posted as to where you can and cannot
park!! Anyway, I'm getting irate again, so I'm done.
