Birth Story!

I tried to put these in order, but had a heck of a time doing it, so I gave up!

Daniel holding his son for the first time.
Just got to the hospital and changed into a gown.
It's GO TIME!

Heading out the door to the hospital early Monday morning.

First family pic :)

I believe I was having a contraction at this time,
but tried to smile and act like it wasn't hurting
to have Kaylie sit on my lap.
Proud daddy :)

Sweet baby boy.
Holding Parker for the first time.
There's No way to describe this feeling.
*** So....I was super nervous to be induced, because a lot of mothers who are induced end up having a c-section. I did not want that! The night before I was induced, my parents got here. Daniel, my dad and Daniel's dad gave me a blessing, which really calmed my nerves. I didn't sleep much that night. I don't know if I was nervous, or having contractions. I think a little bit of both.
My boss called me from the hospital Monday morning and told me my 2 favorite nurses were working in OB and to hurry and get there so we could get going! I was so excited that they were working. They are awesome and so much fun!
When we got there, I changed into my gown and the nurse checked me. I was dialated to a 4! I couldn't believe it. I had been 2cm for 3 weeks, so I was surprised I was that dialated. She got my IV going and started the pitocin. We were having a great time, just chillin, waiting for the contractions to start. The nurse turned up the pit every 30 min. I didn't realy start to feel contractions until about 10:30. They were mild at first, and tolerable. She told me to let her know when I wanted my epidural, because it would take about 30 min to get the anestesiologist (sp?) out of surgery and there to do it. I asked for it around 10:45 and didn't get it until 11:30. At that point I was getting really uncomftorable and thought about calling him myself!
Kaylie, my parents and Daniel's parents were there by now and getting nervous. I was also super nervous to get my epidural. When he got there, he had me lay on my side, in a fetal posistion. With my first epidural, I sat up and hunched my back. This really made me nervous. I ended up doing just fine and it was a WONDERFUL epidural. After my epidural was in, they checked me again. I was 6 cm.
Dr Gagon came in at about noon and broke my water, This really got my labor going! I loved having contractions and not feeling a thing!! At 2pm I was dialated to 8cm. At about 2:50ish I was complete and ready to push! Dr. Gagon got there at 3pm. As soon as he got there and started getting his gown ans gloves, I got so emotional! I think reality was sinking in, and I was also scared because I pushed for 1 1/2 hrs with Kaylie. I was afraid that would happen again.
I started pushing at 3, Parker was born at 3:07!!! He weighed 7lb 7oz and was 2o in long.
At this point we still had't agreed on a name. Daniel was dead set on Parker, but I wasn't too sure! That night before we went to bed, Daniel informed me that we were deciding on a name before we went to sleep. I figured one of us had to give in, so I did. I figured it was his son, I pretty much named Kaylie and it would eventually grow on me, so we went with PARKER CURTIS MOWER.
The rest is hustory...the recovery with Parker was 100% easier than with Kaylie. I felt sooo good and never had any issues. Parker has been a great baby and such a sweetheart.
He's sleeping a lot better at night and eating every 3-4 hrs. He's gaining weight now, now that we figured out he wasn't getting enough from breastfeeding. He weighed 8 lb 14 oz today :)
We are so blessed to have Parker in our family abd just love him to pieces :)

2 weeks old already!

I love this little guy! He's such a sweet baby. I had forgotten how much fun newborns are. Even though there are many sleepless nights, it's all totally worth it.
We had a really rough nights where he was up pretty much all night. (Only slept on and off for 3 hrs). He would wake up just screaming and acting like he was in pain. The only thing I could think of was acid reflux. I took him in to our Pediatrician yesterday. He weighed 7lb 7oz at birth. Well yesterday he was 7lb 6oz! So sad. He said he should be around 7lb 14oz by now. I felt horrible. He felt he's not getting enough to eat so he's waking up hungry. So now I am nursing him on both sides, then offering a bottle. We did this last night and had a much better night. (That's why I am finally getting around to a post!) Anyway, things are great, we love our baby Parker and Kaylie is adjusting well. She loves him to death and is always looking out for him. We are so blessed to have him in our family!

10 more days...

LARGE & in CHARGE

Last weekend we made a last minute trip to Blanding for the 4th. I'm so glad we did. We debated for 2 days before wether we should go or not, but finally made the decision to go. We spent most the weekend on the mountain camping with family. We came to town long enough for Kaylie to enjoy the parade. She loved it. She had a blast picking up candy and seeing the horses. She loved the 4 wheelers on the mountain. We couldn't keep her off em! The other pics are just random from the last few weeks.
I am set for induction July 19th. I saw the dr today and am still dialated to 2cm and 50% effaced. My dr is leaving town tomorrow for the week, so I am really praying I can hold off til the 19th. Also, my mom is gone, living it up with her hubby on the gold wing, and Daniel starts school Monday, so I really need to hold off if I can!
I am officially done with work. I am releived, but already miss it and the people I work with. This next week we plan to take it easy, finish up last minute things for the baby, make 1 last quilt and just relax!

2 yr & Maternity pics

* Warning: LOTS of pics to follow! *

* We had these pics taken a few weeks ago. It was such a fun photo shoot. I wasn't sure if I was going to do maternity ones, cause I just kinda felt weird about it. But I didn't do any when I was prego with Kaylie and I really regretted it. Kaylie wasn't cooperating the best, but she got some really cute ones. I think they turned out great!
*Kaylie is growing up so fast. She seriousley scares me with some of the stuff she says and remembers. She is so dang smart. We've been swimming a few times this summer and she loves it. She asks everyday to go swimming. I don't love being 8 months prego in a swimming suit, but hey, ya gotta make sacrifices for your kids. I just go and pray I don't see anyone I know.
*She is so into movies right now. She will have a fave for like a week that she watches about 1000000 times a day, then moves onto a new movie. It started with Spirit, Tarzan, Little Einsteines Animals, Horton Hears a Who, now we're onto Nemo. She's so much fun. I just love her to pieces.
*She is sleeping in her big girl bed now! We took down the crib the other day so she wouldn't really have much of a choice where to sleep. She does so good in it. She doesn't get out of the bed until we go in and get her. She just sits on the bed and waits for us.
*Pregnancy update: I saw the doctor yesterday. I was hesitant to ask about induction, but I really wanted to know and wanted to have some sort of plan. So I asked...he said he would start me as early as 2 weeks early! Holy crap, I almost went into labor right there when he told me that! I think we will go with 1 week early, which will be July 19th. Daniel is out of school that whole week and my mom will just be getting back to the SLC area after their bike trip to Yellowstone. I think it'll be perfect. I kinda want the whole surprise thing of going into labor at home and wondering if this is the time to go, or should we wait awhile longer....all that excitememt. But for all parties involved, I think July 19th will be the best day, unless he decided to come any sooner!!
* I got his car seat/stroller, bedding, and lots of odds and ends that I was needing. I'm definatley feeling more ready for this baby. If only we had a name.....
