1st Birthday Party!!

She loved her cake! I thought she'd dig in, but holy crap, I didn't think she'd like devour the whole thing! She had frosting all over her body. From her head to toes! The frosting kinda stained her body, but she didn't mind!

As you can see, my cakin-making skills aren't the best. I actually were impressed with this lady bug. It turned out better than I thought.

This is her first dolly. She loves it. She'll pack it around with her everywhere she goes. She loves to play with the eyes and give her kisses. So cute.
This little pink car makes all these loud noises and drives all over the place. She was kinda scared of it at first, but she likes it now.

We got her this car that she can push around and we can also push her in it. I really like it cuz it has a seat belt, so I can strap her down and she can't get out! She loves it. I'll put her in it while I'm cleaning the kitchen and just push her around everywhere I go.
She'll just sit in it for hours. She watches cartoons in it, eats snacks, and helps mom clean the house. She just loves it!

Grandma Mower brought Kaylie a bag of clothes from Old Navy for her Birthday. She was so cute with them. She would pull them out and look at them all. She was so cute. It was such a fun birthday! I CAN NOT believe she is ONE YEAR OLD!!! It's just insane that I have a 1 year old. I can't get over it. Her birthday was on Sunday...at church we were singing "Because I have been given much" and I just looked down at her and totally felt so grateful for her! I have always loved that song, but never really thought about it like that. I truly am blessed to have such a sweet daughter. I don't know why I am so lucky to have her, but she truly is the biggest blessing ever! She makes me so happy. I look forward to each day to see what new things she will do! We had a great birthday and can't wait for many more to come!! Love you Kaylie Rae!!

One year ago...

One year ago today....I was ready to pop! This was the night before I had Kaylie. I remember we watched National Treasure 2, and I remember thinking to myself, "man, this may be the last time we get to watch a movie together before I have the baby." Sure enough....it was. I don't have very many pics of my belly, so I'm glad we took this one. I was reclined in my chair, eating caramel popcorn. We're having a Birthday party for Kaylie tomorrow. Can't wait!! I honestly do not believe that she is one. I'm straight-up in denial. I'll post pics of the party and presents, etc. later!

New addition to the family...

This is the newest addition to our family: A 2005 Jeep Rubicon. Daniel's family is totally into jeepin in Moab and we are going to be able to join them! We've gone in the past and just drove Daniel's dad's old jeep. Daniel and his dad were building a jeep for us, but after a lot of thought, we figured it would be cheaper to buy a jeep than to pay someone to finish ours for us. We drove up to Heber the other night to check this one out and ended up buying it that night!! It's totally loaded for Moab so we can have a great adventure. We're going down in April. I'm really excited. My first Moab trip I went on was when Daniel and I were just barely engaged. I was so scared, because I've never done anything like that! It still kinda gets my heart racing, but it'll be fun. As you can see, Daniel is pretty proud of his new toy. He'll go out in the garage and just look at it and mess with it. AND...my car is now out in the drive way. Poor thing got booted out of the garage!!
Kaylie likes the jeep too. We've gone on a few rides and she acts like she really likes it! I will be a little nervous in Moab with her in it, but Daniel is so safe-we'll be ok. I'll post pics after the trip.

Big Disappointment

Hey Bachelor fans! Is anyone else totally pissed at Jason?! I loved Melissa from day 1. She's so cute, great personality and totally sincere. I just can't believe he led her on, proposed and put a ring on her finger! He's been through that with Deona and knows how it feels. I was totally blown away during the after show when he said things had changed in the last 6 weeks. I do think Molly is a nice girl, but come on dude. Make up your mind the first time and quit breaking hearts!!! I don't know if I can watch the other "re-cap show" tonight. Guess we'll see.

Looks who's 11 months!

It was finally warm enough today to go outside without bundling up in all our winter gear. The past few days have been so nice! Definatley getting spring fever. I pushed Kaylie around on this little bike on our back patio. She loved it. Her feet just kept dragging...we'll have to work on her keeping them on the pedals.

I've been teaching her some sign language. This is her doing "more". I didn't catch it right when she was doing it, but you can still see what she's doing.

Jeff, Carrie & Gracie came to visit us the other day. Kaylie and Gracie had so much fun. They were so cute together. They're only 6 weeks apart. Gracie is walking all over the place like a big girl!

Kaylie decided it would be fun to sit on Gracie's lap! I think Gracie was a little shocked and didn't know what to think! They had fun playing in the toy closet.
She loves to play in her old car seat. She gets in it like this and can't really get out! This was her cry for help!!

Kaylie is so dang funny in the tub. Bath time is one time I can count on for a great laugh. The other night she was splashing so hard, I'd get laughing, she'd get laughing and splash more. I was in tears from laughing so hard, and drenched from head to toe from her splashing. Daniel came upstairs to see what in the heck was going on.

Yummy bath water I guess? She alwayss leans over and drinks the water like a puppy.

Jayden, Justice & Kaylie havin a good ole time. She loves her cousins so much. She gets so happy and excited when I take her over there while I'm at work. She doesn't even miss me. Kinda sad, but glad she has such great cousins and aunt Marci!!!

The other day I ran upstairs real fast to change the laundry. Kaylie has been playing on the stairs and will sometimes crawl up 2-3, so we got a gate. Well it doesn't really fit cause our stairs are too wide. Guess she'll just play on it instead!

There's quite a few stairs (as you can see) so I get nervos! When I was done changing the laundry, she was 4 stairs from the top! Scarry!!! How tragic if she fell....I can't even think about it!!
So she's now 11 months....pusing a year already! I don't know what I'm gonna go next month. I just can't believe how fast it's gone by. It's been so much fun so far. She's such a good girl and so much fun to watch grow up. She has 6 teeth now: 4 top and 2 bottom. She weighs 19 lbs, eats pretty much everything we do, drinks out of a real cup most the time, loves to pull my pots & pans out of the cupboard, loves to chew on her crib. There are bite marks all over it. Makes me so mad. She is constantly jabbering and having a good time. I've been thinking about how I want to make her b-day cake. If any of you have any great ideas....please leave a comment!!

Quick Up-date

Look closely....you can see Kaylie's little feet sticking out of the shower curtain. It is almost impossible to shower with her in the bathroom. She always makes her way under the shower curtain, then stands at the tub and wants in! By the time I'm done, she's so wet, I might as well throw her in too!
I finally caught a pic of her sleeping sitting up. She was just fighting taking a nap. There was too much going on that day and she just wanted to play. After she fussed and cried for awhile, she finaly gave in. I went in to tuck her in and this is what I found. Seriously, who can sleep like this?!

Crazy girl. I can't believe she can sleep like this.

Who wouldn't wanna wake up to this??

Since I weaned Kaylie, she's been so happy!! She takes naps without any problems. I lay her down in her crib and she hardly fusses. She just falls asleep. She goes to bed at night really good too. She woke up this morning and was jabbering for a few minutes before I went to get her. When I walked in her room, this is what I found. She was bouncing up and down, so excited to see me. I am so lucky to have such a sweet daughter. I am so thankful for her and for the happiness she brings to our family! I can't imagine life without her! Love you Kaylie!!
