Kaylie is growing up!

She's getting so big! She looks so grown up here. Daniel got her this sand box. He went and bought some sand bags, a swimming pool and some toys for her. She loves it. She played in it for like 30 min straight today. Wish we would have done it sooner!!
Kaylie is so getting into her cartoons! She loves Phineas and Pherb (so do I...that cartoon is #1!!), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dora, Handy Manny. She likes Spongebob too, but I can't stand it. Plus, I swear it cussed the other day. I re-wound it like 5 times, and it really did swear! Anyway, Kaylie is just growing up right before our eyes. She does something new everyday. She's starting to talk and jabber a lot more. Some of her favs: "what's that", "mama", "g-mama", "go go go", "shoes", "more (with sign language)", "no", "owie". She's so much fun, we just love her to pieces!!

Summer Fun

Kaylie's new cousin, BrinLi. Rob & LeeAnn adopted this sweet girl from China! They were in China for 2 weeks. We met up with them in the Wal-Mart parking lot here in Price on their way home. At frist BrinLi wasn't sure about us and kinda kept to herself. By the end she was warming up and even gave me a hug good bye.
She's so dang cute. We can't wait to see her in a few weeks!!

Kaylie being a wild unit at Wal-Mart. I have to put her in the big part of the basket. Otherwise, she squirms out of the top part, even with the seat belt thing on her. She's WILD!!

A few weekends ago we went to Lake Powell with Bryan and the whole fam. We had so much fun! It was Kaylie's first time on a boat. She did pretty good, considering she was getting a molar, tired, being clingy to mom, etc. Ashlyn and I enjoying the nice sun!

We road this bananna boat like it was goin out of style!!! It was so much fun. I think we could have rode this thing all day long. I had such a blast.

Kaylie and her Grandpa. She looks like she hates life in this pic, but over-all, she had fun. We stopped to jump off some cliffs, so Kaylie and I got in the water to cool off. I had a life jacket on her, and a cute little blow up toy for her to sit in. It was really cute. She didn't like the water at first, but after a few minutes she liked it, and almost fell asleep right there in the water!
We've had a wild and fast summer. I can't believe July is almost over. Daniel has finals tomorrow for his summer semester, then will have a 2 wk break. We are so ready. We're going to leave Kaylie with my mom for a night so we can get away. We're going to Durango to relax and have some alone time. It'll be our first time to leave her over night. I'm nervous to leave her, but wow...so ready for a break.

Where has my baby gone??

Is she seriousley 15 months old already? I can't hardly think about how fast she is growing up without getting so sad! They all say to cherish every moment because they grow up so fast. The past 15 months has gone by so fast! This is her favorite toy. That thing is running all day long. She not only puts the balls inside it, but I've found an apple core, her Tylenol, magnets, pens, etc...
She loves chips...just like her daddy. She was eating veggies, then her daddy gave her a chip, so she decided to give the veggies back. She actually really likes her veggies, which is awesome. She just prefers chips over veggies :) She is finally walking!! Life is much better now that she can get around better and get where she wants to go. She cruises all over the house. She loves to take her clothes out of her drawers, throw them over her shoulder, and haul them around. She has 9 teeth....3 of which are molars. Ok, her molars are GIGANTIC!!! I swear they are as big as mine! I don't know if this is normal or not, but wow, poor girl. It's gotta hurt like crap!
Anyway, we got all moved to Price, Daniel started school and I'm back to work at the Beehive in Price and Elmo. It's been way crazy busy the past month, but it's all good. We are renting a cute little house and really like it. Hope you all have a happy 4th of July! We're off to Swan Valley in Idaho for the celebration, so all you Blanding folks enjoy the classic "4th of July in Blanding" without us! :(

New toys!

Well this is our new toy! We're so excited. We've been wanting a 4 wheeler forever but just never really got one. We found a great deal on good ole' KSL, so we decided to go for it! It's a Kawasaki Brute force 750 (if that means anything to any of you!) I haven't driven or even rode on it yet, but hopefully we'll be able to go on a ride soon. It rained all day, so it's a muddy mess everywhere. ---- We found a place to live in Price and got all moved in. Not everything is unpacked, but it's all here! I started work Monday and it's been non-stop since. I sure hope it slows down as time goes on. Daniel and I are playing on softball leagues this summer. I have games Tuesday nights and he plays on Thursday nights, so that's kept us busy. It's so much fun. We lost both our games this week, but we still had a blast!

Wow...lots going on!

We have been soooo busy these past few weeks. I don't even know where to start! We hit up the zoo last week. Kaylie loved it. She thought all the animals were puppies and was panting at them. It was funny. We had our 4th anniversary on the 21st of May!! Holy crap I don't even know where the past 4 years have gone! It's gone by so super fast. It's been great and I wouldn't trade it for anything. In the past 4 years, I've gotten my RN, a baby and the best husband in the world!!! Who could ask for more?! For our anniversary, we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants....TEXAS ROADHOUSE!!! Man, that place is the best. We took Kaylie with us, because we had a few more errands to run, so we decided to just bring her along for the celebration! We had a great night and can't wait for more to come! And last, but not least... we've decided to move to Price. With Daniel going to school and everything, we thought it would be best to just move down there. So, we've been house hunting for the past 2 weeks. Let me tell ya...it pretty much sucks and is discouraging. We don't want to rent because we will be there for at least 2 years, but there is really nothing decent to buy. Everything is so over-priced, it's not even funny. We have to be out of our place here in Spanish Fork by the 1st of June (yes, that's this Sunday) and we totally don't have a place to go down there. Talk about stress, frustration, discouragement, blah blah blah! I got my old job back at Beehive Homes, an assisted living and I'll also be working at another assisted living in Emery County. It will be flexible with Daniel's school and Kaylie, so I think it'll work out really good. Well I think that's about our 2 week adventures in a nut shell. Wish us luck and hope we're not living on the streets in Price, Utah!!

My Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's Day this year! I worked the night before, and had to work that night again, so I was pretty much sleeping all day, but I still had a great day! I have been wanting a big mirror for my living room wall. I have looked, but not found the one I wanted. Daniel gave me some cash so I could go find the perfect mirror! I also got a sweet card. When it opens, it sings the song "girls just wanna have fun". It's cute. Anyway, I just love being a mom and can't believe that I am a mom. It's just crazy. I stinkin love this little girl. We're such good buddies and are always having a good time!
Sittin on the floor, eating grapes. She loves them!

I love this picture. She's got the funniest face! I think she's trying not to smile, but it's hard! Hope everyone else had a great Mother's Day!!!

1 year pics

We had 1 year pics done today. Wow, what a long, exhausting, tiring day! It seriousley wears me out. She was really good though, so I am thankful for that. We went to my fav place to get pics done...Kiddie Kandids. These are just the plain pics...they go through and put boarders on them, her name, edit things, change from color to black and white or sepia, etc. They turned out so cute. I am very happy with them. I got 5 framed pics that will be here in a few weeks. Can't wait to get them here. I have a bare wall in my living room that just drive me nuts, so these pics will be perfect! I'll post pics when I get them here and hung up on the wall.

1 year check-up

We had Kaylie's 1 year check-up a few weeks ago. Of course I forgot my camera, but thank goodness I had my phone. :) This was after the 4 shots. She was not a happy camper!
Makes me so sad! Usually they get 2 nurses and get them done 2 at a time. But not this time... all 4 at seperate times. It was awful! I was about to offer to help her out and do 2 of them myself, but I don't know if I could handle that. It's bad enough seeing the way she looks at me like "why are you letting them do this to me mom?" The pic on the left totally shows how nervous she was!

She was a little more happy in this pic. It was before the doctor came in. I don't know why, but she's terrified of them. Probably cause they always hold her down and she hates that. He said she's healthy and growing good! Weight: 19 lb 3 oz. (20% tile)
Height: 27 inches (30% tile)

GOOD NEWS!!

Well the letter says it all....Daniel got accepted into the nursing program in Price! We are super excited!!! I totally know how he feels....this is all deja vu for me. I'm so glad it's him and not me this time around! I honestly wasn't sure if he would get in, just because he decided 5 days before spring semester that he wanted to go back to school and do nursing. At this point, all the classes up here were full, so he decided to commute to Price 5 days a week to finish his pre reqs. He only had 3 more classes to do, which was awesome. There were 233 applicants and they only accepted 25 in Price and 15 in Blanding. I feel so blessed that he got in! He's worked so hard this semester and it's apparently paid off! It has been tough at times...he stays some nights at his parent's house in Helper, just so he doesn't have to drive through the canyon in horrible weather and to also save on gas. With me working graves, we sure don't see much of eachother. We're not sure if we're going to move down or not. I'd like to stay up here until our lease is up on our house in October. I really like my job and would just rather stay here. But if the commuting gets too terrible, we may just pack up and move, once again. I swear, we move more than anyone I know. Anyway, congrats babe!! I'm so proud of you!!

1st Birthday Party!!

She loved her cake! I thought she'd dig in, but holy crap, I didn't think she'd like devour the whole thing! She had frosting all over her body. From her head to toes! The frosting kinda stained her body, but she didn't mind!

As you can see, my cakin-making skills aren't the best. I actually were impressed with this lady bug. It turned out better than I thought.

This is her first dolly. She loves it. She'll pack it around with her everywhere she goes. She loves to play with the eyes and give her kisses. So cute.
This little pink car makes all these loud noises and drives all over the place. She was kinda scared of it at first, but she likes it now.

We got her this car that she can push around and we can also push her in it. I really like it cuz it has a seat belt, so I can strap her down and she can't get out! She loves it. I'll put her in it while I'm cleaning the kitchen and just push her around everywhere I go.
She'll just sit in it for hours. She watches cartoons in it, eats snacks, and helps mom clean the house. She just loves it!

Grandma Mower brought Kaylie a bag of clothes from Old Navy for her Birthday. She was so cute with them. She would pull them out and look at them all. She was so cute. It was such a fun birthday! I CAN NOT believe she is ONE YEAR OLD!!! It's just insane that I have a 1 year old. I can't get over it. Her birthday was on Sunday...at church we were singing "Because I have been given much" and I just looked down at her and totally felt so grateful for her! I have always loved that song, but never really thought about it like that. I truly am blessed to have such a sweet daughter. I don't know why I am so lucky to have her, but she truly is the biggest blessing ever! She makes me so happy. I look forward to each day to see what new things she will do! We had a great birthday and can't wait for many more to come!! Love you Kaylie Rae!!

One year ago...

One year ago today....I was ready to pop! This was the night before I had Kaylie. I remember we watched National Treasure 2, and I remember thinking to myself, "man, this may be the last time we get to watch a movie together before I have the baby." Sure enough....it was. I don't have very many pics of my belly, so I'm glad we took this one. I was reclined in my chair, eating caramel popcorn. We're having a Birthday party for Kaylie tomorrow. Can't wait!! I honestly do not believe that she is one. I'm straight-up in denial. I'll post pics of the party and presents, etc. later!
